It will occur on 20 April 2023 and is expected to last around two hours between the late morning and early afternoon. Specifically, it starts at 10.54am, peaks at 11.55am and ends at 12.58pm.

The eclipse can be seen from anywhere in Singapore. But you can pop by Science Centre Singapore to look at it through a telescope safely at its 11am to 1pm viewing session at the Ecogarden. Do note that admission charges to the Science Centre apply, and in the event of wet weather, the session will stop.
Unable to head outside? You can watch a live stream of the event on Science Centre Singapore's YouTube channel.
How to look at the eclipse properly?

Never look at the eclipse directly with your naked eyes or sunglasses as it can cause serious and permanent eye damage. Instead, use proper solar glasses, which you can purchase online or from Science Centre Singapore’s Curiosity Shop at $5, or telescopes and binoculars equipped with the right solar filters.
