For those seeking a unique staycation experience in Singapore, Into The Woods offers luxurious glamping tents on Lazarus Island, located just 30 minutes from the mainland. Into The Woods features nine glamping tents, including three family tents and six couple tents. The couple tents cost $380 per night from Sunday to Thursday and $410 on Fridays and Saturdays. Family tents are priced at $430 per night during weekdays and $480 on weekends. Each tent is equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, a fridge, a mini kitchen setup, a snack bar, and WiFi. The family tents also include an extra sofa bed and can accommodate up to four people.

Each tent has a personal deck facing the sea, ideal for watching the sunrise. While the beach is public, the tents and facilities are exclusive to guests, ensuring privacy. However, there are no ensuite bathrooms; guests use a communal toilet block about a 3-5 minute walk away, accessible only with a lock code provided at check-in.

Guests can cook their own meals using the provided portable stove, cast iron pan, soup pot, and utensils. Basic cooking essentials like oil, salt, and pepper are supplied, but guests need to bring their own ingredients. Alternatively, food bundles such as a Korean feast or Kids’ Favourites can be added to the booking. A convenience store on the island offers additional supplies but operates limited hours and has higher prices than the mainland.

The island offers various activities, including picnics with a provided mat and ice box, and scenic spots for sunset views. In case of rain, guests can borrow books, games, and toys from the Communal Lodge or enjoy the view from their tent. The lodge also provides basic painting materials and serves as a social hub for meeting other guests.

Island Escape Made Easy: Ferry, Fun & Nearby Tours

To reach Lazarus Island, guests can take a boat from Marina South Pier, which costs $15 for a round trip. Those staying with Into The Woods have ferry tickets included in their package. The ferry departs at 3pm, aligning with the 3:30pm check-in time, and returns to the mainland at 12pm, with check-out by 11am.

Lazarus Island recently opened a Sea Sports Centre offering kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals. Bicycles are also available for exploring the island. Nearby St. John’s Island, accessible via a 25-minute walk, offers guided ecological tours at its Marine Lab.
